AWARENESS
Unfortunately, for many people, hospice sounds scary. Some believe that hospice is the equivalent to giving up. This is far from the case. It is part of the mission and vision of our hospice that the communities we serve are aware that hospice is a valuable resource that enhances the quality of life. Many people fear long-term illness, dying alone in an institution, or dying in pain. We want you to know that your loved one is does not have to settle for those options. Hospice is not about death. It's about a celebration of life.
DIVERSITY
We believe it is important to share a commitment to diversity and inclusion at all levels of our hospice program. We enjoin people from all backgrounds and walks of life to participate in the program as volunteers or to apply as employees. Our care is also delivered without judgment or prejudice because we believe everyone has the right to choose how their healthcare is delivered at the end stages of their life.
We are here to accommodate you. Please contact us for more information about our multi-language services.
EDUCATION
We want all of our patients and their families to feel empowered and independent when it comes to getting their healthcare. This is why education is one of our priorities as hospice care providers. Our nurses, home health aides, and social workers are there to teach caregivers essential everyday skills such as proper wound care, bathing, and symptom management so that they can feel as independent as possible. We keep our patients and their families fully informed through all steps of the hospice care process.
SUPPORT
Caring for someone can be difficult when done alone. But with hospice, you don't have to be alone. At Tranquil Oaks Hospice Care, our staff and volunteers are committed to supporting caregivers and families through a patient's toughest times at the end of life. We do this by offering after-hours nursing services, bereavement programs, regular volunteer visits, amongst other supportive services. We aim to provide the emotional, spiritual, and physical support that many of our patients, families and caregivers seek.
TEAMWORK
Hospice care isn't a one person job. It takes a whole team. That is why teamwork coupled with excellent communication is so important.
